Who Are We?

Paul
Legend has it that he was inspired to pick up a guitar after watching Michael J Fox play Johnny B Goode in 'Back to the Future'. He quickly graduated to The Shadows, before discovering a Jimi LP in a charity shop whilst he was killing time waiting for vision express to supply him the Hank-esque frames he'd taken the paper-round to save for.... and all in just one hour... he never did collect them, and spent the cash instead on his first Marshall!

Paul currently uses:- PRS McCarty; Gibson Les Paul Studio; 'Charles' Atlas Telstar; Marshal DSL50 head / JCM900 4x12 angled cab loaded with Vintage 30's; Fulltone Clyde Wah - no other fx (or does he?)

Stu
Stu's introduction to drumming came about as the result of a failed attempt to leave a marching jazz band. How he used to dread monday mornings - all his class mates would be talking about Saturday's episode of 'Valley of the Dinosaurs' on Swap Shop - when he'd been bustin his chops dressed up in a ribbon trimmed outfit twirling a baton, enough was enough and Stu flung that baton towards the band leader with all the strenth he could muster. Ironically he wasn't expelled from the band but relegated to the kazoo setion, however a quirk of biology rendered him far more dangerous here due to his freakish capacity for saliva production! So finally he was given a snare drum, and the rest, as they say, is the rest.

Tragically Stu has never been able to master stick twirling to the same degree of prowess as he could with that old broom shank / domestos bottle baton his dad so lovingly crafted for him

Stu batters:- A big bright yellow thing

John
John began playing bass in an attempt to impress a girl (as he couldn't do any cool stunts on his BMX and was rubbish at footy - so with some birthday money burning a hole in his pocket...); it didn't work.. she loved The Smiths, and he'd just finished painting a mural of KISS on his bedroon wall, thus the music that he constantly played said nothing to her about her life. He found a way to win her heart.....eventually!! and then never got round to selling the bass. One day whilst driving a borrowed mini metro he happened across a then teenage Paul playing a version of Badge in a log cabin in Cumbria - that's odd he thought - but he never forgot it, which came in handy some time later...

John accessorises himself on stage with Fender basses:- Marcus Miller signature Jazz Bass; Std Precision Bass c/w badassII; Precision Special (deluxe); these are made louder by effectless connection to an  Ashdown EVO amp.
